Job Description

Provide an educational environment to develop life‑long learning skills, and support academic, career, and social‑emotional development through collaboration with students, families, educators, and community partners.

Essential Functions
  • Demonstrates ability to enhance academic performance and support implementation of district student achievement goals.
    • Provides evidence of student learning to students, families, and staff.
    • Implements strategies supporting student, building, and district goals.
    • Uses student performance data to guide decision‑making.
    • Creates a classroom culture that supports every student.
    • Fosters mutual respect, rapport, and fairness.
    • Contributes to a school culture focused on improved student learning.
    • Communicates effectively and accurately with students, families, colleagues, and community.
  • Demonstrates competence in content knowledge appropriate to the teaching position.
    • Understands key concepts, themes, relationships, and perspectives related to the content area.
    • Uses knowledge of student development to make learning experiences meaningful and accessible.
    • Relates ideas across content areas.
    • Selects instructional strategies appropriate to the content area.
  • Demonstrates competence in planning and preparing for instruction.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, each up to two hours. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs occasionally.
