TITLE:

Long-term Substitute Teacher – 6th Grade Science

LOCATION:

Clear Creek Amana Middle School (Tiffin, IA)

REPORTS TO:

Principal or Designee

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides instruction in the curricular areas and behavioral skills to students in 6th Grade Science during teacher's absence.

• In the teacher's absence, follow the lesson plans provided to ensure programming associated with core curriculum and behavioral skills.
• Follow behavior management plans for students.
• Assist and collaborate with the administration, school counselor, staff, parents and students on matters pertaining to academic achievement and social/emotional/behavioral goals.
• Maintain appropriate records and protect confidentiality of data.
• Report to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Appropriate State of Iowa licensure including Substitute Authorization Certificate.
• Experience in classroom teaching PreK‑12th grade preferred.
• Initiative to be a self‑starter.
• Intuitive to the needs of students.
• Flexibility in assignment given.
• Ability to use good judgment.
