High School Instructor

Instructor Position

Instruct high school students at-risk of dropping out of school in the areas of Reading, Writing, Math, Social Studies and Science. Instruct students in English Language classes as needed. Instructors will be responsible for basic record keeping such as attendance, writing and updating lesson plans, follow up on students who did not attend class, and testing.

• Good communication with supervisor, fellow instructors, and students
• Present organized lessons in a face-to-face classroom setting
• Be willing to switch to an online class setting if circumstances require
• Be flexible
• Participate in professional development opportunities
• Assist with student recruitment and retention
• Be open to learning and trying new things in the classroom
• Connect with students and build a positive learning community within your classroom

BA required, BA in Education preferred, basic knowledge of computers. A resume and unofficial copy of college transcripts or Iowa Standard Teaching License must be attached to your application. Applications submitted without these documents will not be considered for employment.
