The West Fork Community School District is seeking a passionate, student‑centered educator to serve as a 2nd Grade Elementary Classroom Teacher for the upcoming school year. Position SummaryThe successful candidate will create a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment that promotes academic growth, social‑emotional development, and a love of learning for all students. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to ensure high levels of achievement and positive student experiences.
Qualifications- Valid Iowa Teaching License with appropriate elementary endorsement(s)
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Knowledge of best practices in elementary literacy and mathematics instruction
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement
- Experience with technology integration and differentiated instruction preferred
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to Iowa Core Standards
- Use assessment data to guide instruction and support student growth
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress
- Collaborate with grade‑level teams and support staff
- Participate in professional development and district initiatives
- Support the overall mission and goals of the district
