Position is teacher for Fundamentals of Oral Communications at the WOC. The instructor will teach SPC-101, which requires a Master’s degree in Speech, Communication, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching the Fundamentals of Oral Communication course.
- Demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to equity and inclusivity.
- Teaching a diverse student population.
- Working with Hawkeye Community College and obtaining approval to teach.
- Completing required trainings to fulfill the position.
The Western Outreach Center follows a trimester schedule:
- First trimester: FOC taught in three sections: 10:25-11:15, 12:00-12:50, and 1:00-1:50.
- Second trimester: 9:20-10:10, 10:25-11:15, 12:00-12:50, and 1:00-1:50.
- Third trimester: 10:25-11:15, 12:00-12:50, and 1:00-1:50.
