Teacher Associate
Are you passionate about helping every student reach their full potential? Heartland AEA is seeking a dedicated Teacher Associate to join our team for the 2026–27 school year.
The Teacher Associate position will be in our HEART Therapeutic Classroom Program. This position will provide support services to children/youth in the therapeutic classrooms located within the Winterset Community Schools, under the direction of a licensed teacher. The teacher associate will be a member of a multidisciplinary team that collaborates to support the design, implementation, and decision-making regarding therapeutic classroom supports.
Qualified applicants for this position will need to have two years of post-secondary education or para educator certification. Prefer candidates with a post-secondary degree in education and/or social services as well as demonstrated successful experience working with children/youth who are experiencing significant social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.
