Compensation:

• Substitute teachers earn $140 per day
• $185.19 per day, long-term rate after ten consecutive days in the same position.
• Gain experience and display teaching skills while seeking a contracted position.
• You select the days and schools in which you want to work using the automated system AESOP.
• IPERS eligible beginning first day of active employment

Requirements:

• All substitutes must submit to a criminal background check.
• Substitute teachers must have a valid Iowa Teaching License, Iowa Substitute License or Substitute Authorization.

All applications must include resume, letters of recommendation, copy of teaching license and official transcripts. Once these items have been submitted you will receive all the necessary payroll information.
