Ruthven/Ayrshire Community School District is seeking a dedicated and student‑focused elementary classroom teacher to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about creating a positive learning environment and committed to supporting the academic and social‑emotional growth of all students.
Position Details- Full‑time Elementary Classroom Teacher (Grade level to be determined)
- Location:
Ruthven/Ayrshire Elementary School, Ruthven, Iowa - Start Date:
August 2026
- Valid Iowa teaching license with Elementary Education endorsement (K‑6)
- Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum and instructional strategies
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Effective classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards‑aligned lessons
- Assess and monitor student progress using data‑driven practices
- Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
- Participate in professional development and school improvement initiatives
- Experience with standards‑based grading and assessment
- Knowledge of PBIS or similar behavior frameworks
- Integration of technology into instruction
