Heartland AEA is looking for a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to join our team for the 2026–27 school year!
Heartland AEA has a part-time Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing position available for the 2026-27 school year. This position will average 3 hours per week and will be based out of our Spirit Lake location serving the Spirit Lake School District. This position will provide services necessary for the evaluation of educational programming and academic improvement of children aged birth to 21 years with a diagnosed hearing loss.
Qualified candidates for this position will need to have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing and be appropriately licensed by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners. Perfer candidates with knowledge of Sign Language or ability to learn if necessary.
