Paraeducator

Chance Light Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education seeks a Para educator to support students with behavioral and learning challenges in a specialized school setting. In this on-site role, you will provide one-on-one and small-group support, implement behavior and instructional strategies designed by teachers and clinicians, and help maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom. You will collect data on student progress, assist with de-escalation as trained, and collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to improving students' academic, social, and life outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with behavioral and learning challenges.
• Implement behavior support plans and reinforcement strategies under clinical and teacher direction.
• Assist with classroom instruction, accommodations, and therapeutic activities.
• Collect and record student data on behavior, goals, and academic progress.
• Support a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student goals.
• Assist with de-escalation and crisis-prevention strategies as trained.
• Help with daily routines, transitions, and student supervision throughout the day.
