Position Summary: The School Associate plays a vital role in supporting students and staff by assisting with daily classroom activities, supervising students, and helping create a positive, safe, and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teachers with classroom tasks, materials, and activities.
• Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, lunchrooms, playgrounds, and hallways.
• Provide assistance to individual students or small groups to reinforce learning and encourage engagement.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom and school environment.
• Foster positive relationships with students and promote respectful behavior and cooperation.
• Assist with basic clerical tasks such as preparing materials, organizing supplies, and recordkeeping as needed.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as appropriate.
• Follow school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or experience working with children is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, flexibility, and a genuine care for children and their well-being.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from supervising staff.

Reports To: Assigned Teacher(s) and/or Building Principal
