Timothy Christian School, a Christian Schools International (CSI) accredited K-8 school located near Wellsburg, Iowa, is seeking a full-time third/fourth grade combination teacher beginning second semester of the  school year.

We are seeking a Christ-centered educator who is passionate about helping students grow academically, socially, and spiritually. Candidates should demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ, model their faith in their daily lives, and actively participate in a Christian church community.

The third/fourth grade teacher will provide engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction within a combined-grade classroom while striving to meet the individual learning needs of each student.

Responsibilities include:

• Teach Bible, science, social studies, and health using a two-year rotation designed for the combined third/fourth grade classroom.
• Provide grade-level instruction in math, reading, language arts, and spelling.
• Differentiate instruction and provide appropriate support and challenge based on individual student needs.
• Integrate a biblical worldview throughout instruction and classroom life.
• Create a positive, Christ-centered classroom environment where students are known, supported, and encouraged to grow.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and school leadership to support student learning and well-being.
• Participate in the broader life and mission of Timothy Christian School.

The successful candidate should:

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in education.
• Hold or be eligible to obtain a valid state teaching license.
• Demonstrate effective teaching practices and strong classroom management skills.
• Possess successful teaching experience or demonstrate strong potential as an educator.
• Be committed to continued professional growth and collaboration.

The successful candidate should:

• Demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a growing knowledge of Scripture.
• Seek God’s direction and calling in his or her personal and professional life.
• Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to spiritual growth and a daily walk with Christ.
• Encourage and support the spiritual growth of students and colleagues.
• Be in agreement with Timothy Christian School’s Statement of Faith.
• Seek to live and lead according to biblical principles, including those reflected in 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
