Some wind jobs are just maintenance.

This isn't one of them.

You’ll lead the work everyone remembers—the generator exchanges, gearbox replacements, blade repairs, and major corrective campaigns that bring turbines back online. You’ll be the technical leader crews rely on, the person coordinating crane picks, solving field problems, and making sure every lift, bolt, and startup is done safely.

If you’ve been the unofficial leader on site, this is your chance to make it official.

• Lead wind technicians and subcontractors during major component exchanges and repower campaigns
• Oversee gearbox, generator, drivetrain, blade, and rotor replacements from planning through completion
• Coordinate crane operations, rigging activities, alignments, torque procedures, and field execution
• Lead daily JHAs, toolbox talks, climb checks, and safety planning
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues without waiting for someone else to make the call
• Serve as the primary point of contact between field crews, logistics teams, crane operators, and utility representatives
• Maintain high-quality documentation while keeping projects moving safely and on schedule

• $55-$65/hour
• $178/day per diem paid weekly
• Located in Iowa Falls, Iowa
• Standard IRS mileage for mobilization and demobilization
• 60-hour workweeks that reward experienced field leaders
• Every five weeks you’ll receive one week off with 20 hours of paid time
• Join a rapidly growing Major Correctives team supporting multiple active campaigns with additional work already planned
• Three immediate openings with opportunities to continue on future projects

You’re the person people follow when the work gets complicated.

You know major component exchanges aren’t just wrench turning—they’re planning, leadership, communication, and accountability. You can coach technicians while staying hands‑on, keep crews focused during critical lifts, and never compromise when it comes to safety.

You have experience leading gearbox, generator, or other major corrective work, hold an active GWO BST certification, and have worked on at least one major turbine platform such as GE, Vestas, SGRE, or Nordex. Travel doesn’t bother you because you’d rather chase challenging projects than spend every day doing routine maintenance.
