We are recruiting experienced Siemens Controls Engineers to support a major Tesla automation project in Sparks Nevada.
This is not a generic controls role. This project requires engineers who have already worked on Tesla projects and are fully fluent in the Siemens SICAR standard. If you have not worked to Tesla Siemens standards, this role will not be a fit.
We are looking to engage three high calibre controls engineers who can step straight into station ownership, deliver independently, and operate at pace in a demanding production environment.
Initial duration is approximately 3 months with potential extension.
Project location is Sparks Nevada.
We are looking for 3 Siemens Controls Engineers.
Base pay rate 50 to 60 USD per hour depending on experience.
Working hours 50 to 60 hours per week.
Shift work Candidates must be open to any shift.
Expenses can be covered.
The RoleAs a Siemens Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for full station ownership on a Tesla automation line. You will develop, test, validate and commission station logic and HMI solutions in line with Tesla standards, operating independently with minimal supervision.
This is a hands on, delivery focused role suited to engineers who are comfortable working at speed, taking accountability, and interfacing directly with robotics, safety systems and production equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop PLC logic and HMI solutions strictly in accordance with Tesla Siemens SICAR standards.
- Work independently within Siemens TIA Portal Version 18, including safety programming using Siemens 1518 F PLCs.
- Develop and validate station sequencing, interlocking and robotic interfaces.
- Independently test, debug and validate assigned stations.
- Take full technical responsibility for your station from development through validation.
- Support commissioning activities and production readiness.
- Extensive experience with Siemens TIA Portal Version 18.
- Strong experience with Siemens Safety PLCs including 1518
F. - Proven experience integrating Siemens IPCs and developing HMIs.
- Hands on experience working with Tesla Siemens PLC templates with a minimum of two years Tesla project experience.
- Experience using S7 Graph logic.
- Strong understanding of robotic station interfaces, sequencing and interlocks.
- Experience working with drives including Siemens and SEW VFD and servo systems.
- Strong working knowledge of Siemens SICAR standards.
- Minimum of five years controls engineering experience.
- Overall experience range six to eight years preferred.
- Mandatory Tesla Siemens SICAR project experience.
- Candidates must be flexible to work any shift.
- Candidates should expect extended working hours throughout the contract.
- Must have the right to work in the USA.
- This role is best suited to engineers who have already delivered Tesla projects and can immediately add value without training or hand holding.
