Location: Nevada

Globe 24-7, in partnership with a leading mining company, is seeking an experienced Chief Geologist for their role in Kazakhstan.

The Role

The Chief Geologist & Qualified Person (Geology) is responsible for ensuring the technical integrity, defensibility, and regulatory compliance of all geological data, models, mineral resource estimates, and supporting studies.

This role leads all geological work streams required for project development, including resource definition drilling, geological modelling, metallurgical variability sampling, and delivery of geological inputs to mining, processing, and Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) teams.

The position ensures that all geological assumptions and Mineral Resource Estimates are robust, auditable, and compliant with JORC (2012) and SEC Regulation S-K 1300
, supporting defensible reserve conversion and the development of mine plans for long-term production.

The Responsibilities
  • Lead delivery of geological work streams required for project development and DFS completion
  • Design and oversee resource definition drilling programs aligned with JORC and SEC S-K 1300 requirements
  • Ensure integrity of geological databases, QA/QC systems, sampling protocols, and laboratory controls in accordance with international standards
  • Lead geological modelling, domaining strategies, and structural interpretations
  • Oversee Mineral Resource Estimation processes and classification decisions
  • Coordinate geological inputs across mining, processing, geotechnical, and hydrogeological disciplines
The Requirements
  • Minimum 20 years’ experience in mineral exploration and resource development
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and/or signing Mineral Resource Estimates under JORC and/or SEC Regulation S-K 1300
  • Eligibility to act as a Qualified Person under SEC Regulation S-K 1300
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology
