Surveyors - Nevada Projects

Overview

Join Morgan as a SURVEYOR and play a pivotal role in heavy civil construction. This position supports multiple projects in Nevada
. Days and nights are covered with a 14/7 rotation typically, and each shift lasts 12 hours. Lodging or a living/subsistence allowance will be provided.

Pre‑Employment Requirements

• MSHA Part 48
• Successful completion of an Alcohol and Drug Screening

General Physical Requirements

• Physically capable of repeatedly lifting up to 50 lb and working a rotational schedule of up to 12 hours a day
• Endurance for noise, vibration, outdoor weather, and the ability to take on additional labor duties as required

• Perform survey functions in support of project scope mandates.
• Field staking in accordance with project design.
• Quantity pick‑up and calculation.
• Communicate layout information promptly to relevant parties.
• Troubleshoot and repair survey equipment and ensure data accuracy.
• Coordinate with design engineers regarding project design.
• Follow project specifications and guidelines to maintain quality standards.
• Maintain safety culture by adhering to Morgan’s safe work procedures and PPE policies.
• Perform JSA and FLHA as required and stay aware of hazards.
• Demonstrate problem‑solving skills and collaborative teamwork.
• Operate a two‑way radio.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a surveyor.
• Extensive GPS construction layout experience using Trimble or Topcon equipment.
• Post‑secondary education from an accredited surveying program is an asset; a high school diploma is required.

USD $35.00 – $45.00 per hour.
