Mechanical Engineer​/Engineer Technician

DTI, the parent company of Sudenga Industries and Dur-A-Lift, is hiring a full‑time Mechanical Engineer or Engineer Technician to join our team located just outside of George, Iowa.

We design, develop, and continuously improve products and manufacturing processes for agricultural and aerial equipment applications. Engineers collaborate closely with production, sales, and engineering teams from concept through production to enhance manufacturing efficiency, product performance, and customer satisfaction.

• Design and develop products, components, and manufacturing solutions.
• Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve production efficiency and product quality.
• Support new product development from concept through implementation.
• Assist with troubleshooting, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work with sales and customer service teams to support customer needs and product applications.
• Evaluate designs for manufacturability, cost effectiveness, durability, and safety.
• Participate in prototype development and product testing.
• Maintain engineering BOM documentation and revision control.
• Support cross‑functional projects and process improvement efforts.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with CAD software and engineering design tools.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production methods.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
