Thacker Pass,NV - Salary Range: 105. annually (salary range is based on market data; final salary offered is determined by education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant.)
In this role, you will provide field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. #LI-NP1
Major ResponsibilitiesWork Planning & Packaging
- Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
- Facilitates planning construction methods and procedures.
Material Management
- Initiates requisitions for field purchases
- Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
Quantities
- Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
Safety / Quality Control
- Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
Technical
- Proactively considers continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities
For Direct Hire
- Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.
- Reviews and approves inspection test plans,
- Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals
- Required bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of architectural and engineering disciplines relating to the construction of industrial projects.
- Thorough knowledge of construction activities and material storage requirements,
- Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook and the Bechtel Core Processes as they relate to area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of project-specific environmental compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of Bechtel's "Zero Accidents" safety program.
- Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications in accordance with current Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAP) standards.
- Knowledge of current industry design standards.
- Fluent in written and spoken English
