This position is for an Industrial Engineer who will join the Manufacturing support team at the Collins Aerospace Bellevue facility. Primary responsibility will be to support the lean manufacture of avionics electronics equipment. What You Will Do- Add and maintain automated equipment
- Provide industrial engineering support to production build and testing of avionics electronics equipment.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and projects using the CORE methodology
- Identify drivers of cost and propose alternative solutions for cost reductions.
- Perform cost analysis and trade-offs.
- Estimate costs and participate in preparation of proposals and presentations.
- Perform moderate to advanced engineering economics principles and techniques and analyze and understand manufacturing cost impacts.
- Ability to diagnose problems and recommend alternative solutions.
- Knowledge of principles and techniques commonly used in electronics manufacturing.
- Communicate with a wide variety of technical and management personnel
- Coordinate several projects while balancing priorities and schedules.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
- Background in automation
- Experience in manufacturing engineering and factory transition activities
- Understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of manufacturing cost optimization and trade-off analysis techniques
- Familiarity with cost estimation and forecasting methods
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- Communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and management teams
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing priorities and meeting schedules
