Position Overview
This position is an Industrial Engineer who will join the Manufacturing Support team at Collins Aerospace’s Bellevue facility and focus on lean manufacturing of avionics electronics equipment.
What You Will Do- Add and maintain automated equipment.
- Provide industrial engineering support to production build and testing of avionics electronics equipment.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and projects using the CORE methodology.
- Identify drivers of cost and propose alternative solutions for cost reductions.
- Perform cost analysis and trade-offs.
- Estimate costs and participate in preparation of proposals and presentations.
- Apply moderate to advanced engineering economics principles and techniques, and analyze and understand manufacturing cost impacts.
- Diagnose problems and recommend alternative solutions.
- Apply knowledge of principles and techniques commonly used in electronics manufacturing.
- Communicate with a wide variety of technical and management personnel.
- Coordinate several projects while balancing priorities and schedules.
- Required: Degree in STEM; less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Preferred: Background in automation; experience in manufacturing engineering and factory transition activities; understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes; knowledge of manufacturing cost optimization and trade‑off analysis techniques; familiarity with cost estimation and forecasting methods; understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles; strong communication and collaboration skills; proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing priorities and meeting schedules.
