Senior Risk Engineer (m/w/d)

For our Risk Engineering & Loss Prevention unit in Munich, Cologne, or Hamburg, we are looking for a Risk Engineer (m/w/d) to strengthen our Casualty/Cyber team. We support international industrial large customers in identifying and improving their risks and at the same time support our underwriters in risk selection. As part of a globally connected group, we offer a dynamic, international working environment and close exchange with a worldwide risk engineering community.
- Technical assessment of risks in the areas of general liability, product liability, environmental liability, product recall, and cyber risks for large customers (quantitative risk assessment and calculation of damage scenarios)
- Conducting site visits/risk dialogues and customer consultation
- Analyses and research on technical key topics
- Participation in projects to expand knowledge and tools (e.g. risk gradings)
- Conducting training/seminars (internal, external)
- Several years of practice (at least 5 years) in the risk-technical assessment of industrial liability and cyber risks (including product recall, business interruption, data loss, and liability risks) from the perspective of an international insurer
- Possibly several years of professional experience (at least 5 years) in industrial companies in the fields of quality assurance, product safety, environment, EHS, risk management, IT security
- Good knowledge of risks in the chemical/pharmaceutical, automotive vehicle/components manufacturing (including vehicle recall), construction, and medical devices manufacturing industries
- Good knowledge and practical experience in the area of liability law and environmental protection (assessment and protection concepts)
- Good knowledge of national and international quality and protection standards (e.g. hazard analysis, ISO, EN, consumer product safety standards) as well as common cyber security standards, norms, and regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, BSI basic protection)
- Completed engineering, natural science, or IT science degree as well as very good German and English language skills and willingness to travel
