Senior Engineer Valves

As a senior engineer (m/w/d) valves, you will take technical responsibility for the selection, specification, and standardization of valves in demanding plant construction projects. You will work independently at the interface between process engineering, pipeline planning, suppliers, and project teams and contribute significantly to the successful implementation of our international power plants and waste processing facilities.

You bring your experience from power plant, energy, or process plant construction and make informed technical decisions around valves, pressure levels, materials, and standards.

In addition, you have comprehensive knowledge of the technical requirements for high-pressure valves and their use in demanding process engineering applications.

Your tasks

• Independent technical design, selection, and specification of shut-off, control, and safety valves for complex plant construction projects
• Development and standardization of valve classes as well as definition of project-specific standards
• Creation and maintenance of technical specifications, data sheets, and technical documentation
• Technical coordination with suppliers, contractors, and internal specialist departments
• Review and optimization of installation situations and interfaces in 3D plant models
• Creation of valve lists (BOQ) as well as technical support of purchasing in supplier selection and allocation processes
• Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, guidelines, and customer requirements
• Support of manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, and service through your technical expertise
• Active participation in the development of engineering standards and best practices

Your profile:

• Completed degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, or comparable technical qualification
• Several years of professional experience in power plant, energy, pipeline, or process plant construction
• In-depth knowledge of the design and specification of valves and pipeline components, especially in water-steam cycles
• Experience in working with relevant standards and codes (DIN, EN, ASME, PED)
• Proficient use of COMOS, AutoCAD, or comparable engineering tools
• Ability to independently analyze technical issues, make decisions, and implement solutions
• Structured, independent, and responsible working style
• Very good German and good English skills
