Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Must have 5+ years of engineering experience supporting manufacturing or industrial facilities. Must have demonstrated experience executing large capital projects or managing multiple capital projects. The Senior Capital Project Engineer will lead engineering activities supporting capital investment projects across manufacturing operations.
This role is responsible for engineering design, project planning, construction support, commissioning, equipment procurement, contractor coordination, and successful project execution while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Construction, Procurement, and Project teams to support facility expansion, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead capital engineering projects from concept through completion.
- Plan engineering activities and project execution strategies.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates.
- Design and support manufacturing equipment and facility improvements.
- Coordinate construction, commissioning, and plant start-up activities.
- Develop equipment specifications.
- Lead equipment procurement activities.
- Prepare, review, and award contractor and equipment bid packages.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and system issues.
- Analyze engineering problems and implement technical solutions.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure projects meet safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives.
- Mentor and support junior engineers.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Experience managing capital projects.
- Experience with engineering design and project execution.
- Experience with equipment specification and procurement.
- Experience supporting construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
- Strong manufacturing equipment troubleshooting skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
- Experience in Food Manufacturing.
- Experience in Chemical Manufacturing.
- Experience in Process Manufacturing.
