Process Engineer (m/w/d) Combustion, Boiler & BoP
In this role, you are responsible for the independent and timely design and calculation of plants for thermal waste treatment. You are responsible for the process engineering coordination within the scope of the contract with appropriate communication in the team, with the project management and to the customer. The scope of work includes the areas of firing, boilers, water and steam systems.
In detail, this includes:
- Independent, self-reliant and timely design and calculation of plants for thermal waste treatment
- Review of tender and contract documents as well as process engineering coordination within the scope of the contract with appropriate communication in the team, with the project management and to the customer
- Processing of possible scopes such as firing, boilers, water and steam systems as well as auxiliary systems, including the design of components
- Creation of process and R&I schemes, specifications, functional descriptions and other documents of process engineering (SIL, HAZOP, operating instructions, training materials)
- Maintenance of process engineering data in the R&I linked engineering database and support of the implementation phase in detail engineering, assembly and commissioning, including training of the operator's employees and our own in-service setters as well as processing of remaining points, damage and claims cases

- Boiler design with in-house tools (i.e. DAMAUS) or commercial tools (i.e. KED/PPSD)
- Representation of water-steam cycles or flue gas heat recovery in commercial tools (i.e. EBSILON)
Your profile:
- Completed studies in mechanical engineering or process engineering (TU/TH)
- Professional experience as a process engineer in plant construction
- Sound knowledge of thermal process engineering, heat and mass transfer, thermodynamics as well as fluid mechanics
- Independent, structured and responsible working method
- Proactive communication, persuasiveness and strong team spirit
- Fluent English skills in speech and writing; and good French skills
- Secure handling of standard software; knowledge of COMOS PT is an advantage
- Willingness to occasionally travel internationally for about 20%
- Knowledge of DAMAUS/DIMBO, KED/PPSD and EBSILON
