Position: Electronic Engineer Technician Clarinda - 51632 - Page County
Location: Clarinda

This position is for current permanent Clarinda Correctional Facility employees only. Those in any other status are not eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

Perform technical engineering work development and implementation of computerized electronic equipment or telecommunications systems.
Perform installation, diagnostics, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electronic equipment such as security recording equipment, door controls, fence alarms, fiber infrastructure, safety devices and controls, cabling, switches, phone systems, building fire alarm systems and others.
Assist in resolving operational issues through written and verbal communications and other technical abilities while adhering to DOC/CCF policies and procedures.
Supervise incarcerated individuals assisting with the tasks when and where appropriate.

Qualifications

Five years of full-time work experience in technical electronic engineering work.

A total of five years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in number one), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in electronic engineering equals one year of full-time experience.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate’s degree in electronic engineering, and experience equal to three years of full-time work in technical experience in electronic engineering work.

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in electronic engineering, and experience equal to one year of full-time work in technical electronic engineering.
