Sr. Capital Project Engineer

This position is in our Food Enterprise where we are committed to serving food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a complete range of innovative ingredients and branded products. Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.

• The Senior Capital Engineer will plan, support, and where applicable, execute engineering deliverables for one or more of our broad core technology or engineering area. We seek a professional who will develop and apply engineering standards and procedures, providing advice on issues within the engineering field.

• Plan, design and estimate time and cost, overseeing construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, systems and component
• Analyze and develop solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failure
• Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staf
• Coordinate staffing and development of construction, commissioning, and start-up plan
• Lead equipment specification and procurement. Develop, review, and award bid packages for equipment and labo
• Informally lead, mentor, and coach early career engineers through hands-on training and project wor
