Electrical Engineering, Automation & Mechatronics Engineer
Design electrical control systems for material handling equipment, bag filling equipment, and robotic palletizing systems.
Perform electrical drafting and design work using AutoCAD.
Produce detailed electrical schematics for manufacturing and field assembly.
Apply Chantland-MHS drafting standards and best practices.
Collaborate with Lead Controls Designers and Engineering leadership on project execution.
Develop accurate and timely design documentation with minimal errors.
Maintain compliance with OSHA safety standards and company safety practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic QualificationsDegree in Electrical Design, Electrical Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
Proficient user of AutoCAD
Knowledge of electrical practices and control system components
Familiarity with PLCs, motor control circuits, and industrial electrical systems
Strong math, organizational, and documentation skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and time-management skills
Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred QualificationsExperience designing electrical control systems in manufacturing or automation environments
Exposure to PLC ladder logic programming
Mechanical and electrical aptitude related to automated equipment design
Technical SkillsExperience or familiarity with:
Electrical control system design and drafting
PLC systems and motor controls
Electrical schematics and documentation standards
Work Location & TravelPrimary work location:
Dakota City, Iowa facility
Occasional travel to customer sites may be required as directed.
