Fire Marshal

Constellation Energy seeks a Fire Marshal to lead fire prevention and life safety programs across generation and utility facilities. In this role, you will develop and enforce fire codes, conduct hazard and risk assessments, perform inspections of plants and offices, and oversee testing of detection and suppression systems. You will investigate incidents, maintain compliance with NFPA, OSHA, and local regulations, and coordinate with local fire authorities.

The Fire Marshal will deliver training, lead emergency response planning and drills, support permitting for new projects, and provide expert guidance to ensure safe, reliable, and sustainable operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce fire prevention and life safety programs across facilities
• Conduct facility fire risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify and mitigate hazards
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, OSHA, state, and local fire codes and regulations
• Oversee inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems
• Investigate fire incidents and near misses, documenting findings and corrective actions
• Coordinate with local fire departments and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs)
• Lead emergency response planning, drills, and exercises for fire and evacuation
• Deliver fire safety training and coaching to employees and contractors
• Review plans and permits for new construction and modifications for fire code compliance
• Maintain detailed records, reports, and documentation for audits and regulatory reviews
