We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter to create and modify detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings and models using Solid Works. This role supports engineering and manufacturing projects, and involves collaborating with engineers and project managers to ensure drafting assignments are completed accurately and on schedule. The position also requires preparing, updating, and maintaining technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings and models using Solid Works.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure drafting assignments are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Prepare, update, and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Utilize Microsoft Office 365 applications to organize, track, and communicate project information effectively.
• Incorporate feedback and design changes by reviewing and revising drawings as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience with Solid Works for mechanical drafting and 3D modeling.
• Familiarity with ERP Systems for inventory, material tracking, and work order creation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Ability to work effectively within a smaller team, offering diverse product exposure.

Work Environment

This position requires working onsite five days a week in Algona. The company offers a collaborative atmosphere with a smaller team structure, allowing for less red tape and a broader range of responsibilities. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Algona, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $31.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
