The Rotating Equipment Engineer Co-op/Intern will support plant reliability and maintenance efforts by assisting with projects and daily tasks focused on rotating mechanical equipment (such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and related systems). Under the guidance of experienced engineers, the intern will help identify opportunities for improvement, participate in condition monitoring and failure analysis, and contribute to the implementation of solutions that enhance equipment reliability and plant performance.
Job DescriptionSuccessful incumbents will have:
- Must be a current college student enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering program (or related field) at an ABET-accredited institution.
- Previous co-op or intern experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with condition monitoring is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to perform field work in an operating plant environment.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to fulfill a summer internship or 7–8 month co-op assignment.
