Energy Panel Structures Inc. is seeking a Commercial Project Estimator to support our energy-efficient building solutions. In this role, you will review commercial building plans, perform detailed material takeoffs, and prepare accurate cost estimates for SIPs, roof and wall systems, and complete building packages. You will collaborate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing to refine bids, value-engineer projects, and meet customer requirements.
The estimator will track quote activity, update pricing, support dealers and builders, and help improve estimating tools and processes in a safety-focused, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Review commercial construction drawings and specifications for SIP and building package projects
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for materials, labor, and freight
- Develop and submit accurate, competitive bids and proposals to dealers and builders
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing to refine scopes and pricing
- Provide value-engineering options to optimize cost, constructability, and energy performance
- Maintain and update estimating databases, price lists, and historical cost records
- Support project handoff from estimating to project management and manufacturing
- Communicate clearly with customers to clarify requirements and resolve scope questions
- Track quote status, follow up on outstanding proposals, and support sales planning
- Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating tools, templates, and processes
