What you’ll do as a Controller:
- Support the Chief Financial Officer in overseeing the financial integrity of the Bethany Life continuum
- Responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, supporting financial reporting, coordinating the annual independent audit, and ensuring strong internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Plays a key role in safeguarding organizational assets
- Oversees day-to-day accounting operations, including financial data entry, account reconciliation, balancing, and verification of accuracy across financial systems
What’s required as Controller:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial management experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Experience coordinating or supporting annual audits required
- Demonstrated ability to design and enforce internal controls
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Demonstrates professional behavior at all times, including maintaining a positive attitude, respecting confidentiality, interacting respectfully with members, families, colleagues, and community partners, and representing Bethany Life in a professional manner
- CPR Certified or obtained within six (6) months of hire.
