Lasko Products, a market leader in home environment products for over 100 years, is seeking a Corporate Cost Analyst to join our Finance team at our West Chester, PA headquarters. This role is ideal for an early‑career professional (0–3 years of experience) with a strong accounting foundation and hands‑on cost accounting or standard costing experience—particularly in a buy‑model environment where products are sourced from external manufacturing partners.
The Corporate Cost Analyst will play a key role in analyzing product costs, validating standard costs, and supporting financial decision‑making across the business. This position offers exposure to Supply Chain, Operations, and Business Unit teams, and is a great opportunity for someone eager to expand their expertise while potentially pursuing an MBA or advanced degree.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development, maintenance, and analysis of standard costs for sourced and manufactured products.
- Evaluate material, labor, freight, duty, and overhead components to ensure accurate product costing.
- Assist in periodic cost roll‑ups, cost updates, and BOM/recipe review processes.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Sourcing, Operations, and Business Units to understand cost drivers and validate cost changes.
- Analyze cost variances and identify trends or root causes affecting product margins.
- Support new product development costing, including scenario modeling and cost impact analysis.
- Lead inventory oversight and analysis of monthly balances and application of internal controls and reporting surrounding the topic of inventory.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership regarding cost changes, profitability, and operational efficiencies.
- Help refine costing processes, systems, and documentation to enhance accuracy and consistency.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with high attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of cost accounting concepts, including standard costing and inventory valuation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work cross‑functionally with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, curious, and comfortable working with large data sets.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and operate with high professionalism and integrity.
- 0–3 years of experience in cost accounting, standard costing, or financial analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required;
Finance degree with strong accounting coursework considered. - Experience costing sourced products in a buy‑model or imported goods environment strongly preferred.
- Manufacturing, consumer products, or supply chain‑related experience is a plus.
- Pursuit of an MBA or advanced degree is desirable but not required.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems and BI/reporting tools preferred.
