Senior Payment Operations Specialist

• Support the enterprise payment processing by executing and monitoring higher‑risk payment activities
• Accurately process payment transactions and resolve advanced exceptions
• Meet established deadlines while maintaining compliance
• Partner closely with internal teams to research escalated issues
• Provide subject‑matter support and ensure resolution of payment‑related inquiries
• Act as a resource to teammates by sharing expertise and mentoring
• Identify issues requiring escalation and document analysis

• 3+ years of related experience in Financial Services, Payment Operations, or similar field
• High school diploma required;
  Some college or technical training preferred
• Entry level to intermediate knowledge of general banking operations
• Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations
• Entry level to intermediate knowledge of electronic payment transactions and exception handling
• Ability to apply risk, fraud, and compliance controls to payment processing activities
• Thrive in operational environments with strict deadlines
• Ability to exercise sound judgment under time‑sensitive conditions
• Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills

Demonstrates expertise in payment processing, compliance, and risk management within financial services, ensuring accurate transaction handling and effective issue resolution. Capable of mentoring teammates and collaborating with internal teams to address escalated payment inquiries.
