Loan Secretary

The Loan Secretary will perform a variety of clerical and technical duties to assist lenders and will handle both routine and complex customer inquiries while maintaining favorable customer service.

• Prepares loan documentation, extensions, and renewals of loans and closings.
• Notes and verifies significant information as required by Bank policy and procedure.
• Ensures that Bank procedures are followed at all times.
• Exercises discretion, judgement, and initiative regarding transaction problems and procedures.
• Effectively identifies customers' financial needs and cross sells the Banks' products and services.
• Receives payments from customers.
• Provides prompt, efficient and accurate service in the processing of transactions.
• Maintain BIS tickler systems as directed.
• Maintains credit files in a neat and orderly manner.
• Prepares and distributes necessary reports.
• Stays up to date on all federal and state regulations.
• Represents the Bank in a courteous and professional manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some prior loan administration or customer service experience is preferred.
