Personal Banker​/Mortgage Hybrid

POSITION SUMMARY:

Perform a full range of Retail banking services for individual customers with emphasis on personal financial needs. Process teller transactions, open and close accounts and uncover consumer loan opportunities. Assist customers with banking needs and provide excellence in customer service. Performs all duties associated with originating and closing a high volume of mortgage loans (10 million or more annually) for in-house and secondary markets.

• Perform all activities related to the opening and closing of various types of time and demand deposit accounts, including certificate of deposits, checking accounts, and saving products. Ensures applicable regulations, disclosures, policies, and procedures are followed and is trained on depository compliance regulations.
• Cross sell and/or refer Bank products and services based on customer need to maximize the customer relationship. Perform periodic follow-up with customers for additional services and to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Solicits and originates mortgage loans. Interviews applicants and analyzes customer financial status and earnings to determine most appropriate mortgage loan program.
• Calls on existing and prospective customers, realtors and builders to establish relationships for loan referrals. Represents the bank in the community and at real estate industry functions to identify, develop and promote additional business
• Receive and process teller transactions accurately and timely. Verify and balance daily cash line limits. May assist in reconciling errors. Maintains adequate cash line limits and follows bank policy and procedures when performing transactions.
• Provide outstanding customer service for all types of customer inquiries and transactions. Includes accurate, professional, efficient service for all customers.

• Sales skills - demonstrated ability to proactively solicit lending business and cross-sell bank products
• Excellent working knowledge of:
• FHA, USDA, VA, conventional and other investor lending programs/ products as required
• Financial institution operations and procedures
• Compliance and regulation of consumer lending
• Other bank products
• Strong problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively handle dissatisfied customers. Ability to perform financial analysis to support lending decisions.
• Registered or meets the requirements to be registered with the NMLS
• Compliance with bank policies and procedures and federal and state laws/regulations.
• Bachelor's degree desired and/or applicable work experience
• 2+ years originating mortgage loans
