This position involves travel between Estherville, IA, and Jackson, MN.

Job Summary

Administers speech and language evaluations, tests, and examinations to diagnose and plan treatments for clients with speech and swallowing disorders. Develops individualized treatment plans, provides services, monitors disease progression, and adjusts treatments accordingly. Instructs clients in therapeutic exercises, provides consultation, and ensures compliance with standards, policies, and regulations.

The role may involve treating clients of all ages with various diagnoses. Documentation must meet departmental and regulatory standards. The candidate should demonstrate professional treatment levels, adhere to clinical guidelines, and participate in departmental activities and collaborations. Supervision and training of assistants, aides, and students may be required.

Work may focus on post-acute, long-term care, and home health environments.

Qualifications
  • Educational requirements per state licensure.
  • Licensed in applicable states as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Preferred:
    Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA) or working towards it.
  • Valid driver’s license if applicable.
  • Required competencies and certifications, including BLS within 60 days.
