The pay range for this position is $16.09-$23.27 based on direct and relevant experience.
RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Front Office Associate to join our team. As a Front Office Associate, you will be responsible for providing services to patients and referring professionals by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and greeting and registering patients in a cheerful, professional, and sincere manner.
This is a part-time position working 20-29 hours/week every Tuesday, Thursday and every other Friday from 1:00pm-9:30pm; one Saturday (day shift) per month.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Registration (55%)
Greet and checks-in patients scheduled for imaging services; processes payments and copays as neededAnswer phones and handles calls in an efficient and friendly mannerField phone calls appropriately for Center Team MembersAct as liaison between imaging technologists and the patients waiting for exams, and relays messages regarding scanner status and other Clinic informationMaintain organization of the front office lobby area by straightening magazines, organizing coffee supplies and assisting with general office cleanupOrder office supplies as neededMaintain supply of patient information sheetsPush patient imaging via electronic interfacesComplete patient appointment confirmation calls and provide preparation instructions to patientsFax/scan reports, billing information, and medical release forms as requestedScheduling (20%)
Arrange transportation, interpreters, and hotel accommodations for patients when appropriateEnter and submit patient exam ordersVerify patient exam orders match exam schedulesSchedule referrals and ensures proper authorizations are obtainedSchedule walk-in patientsProcess requests for image orders and CDs from both the referring physicians and patientsMaintain an up-to-date and accurate database of all current and potential referring physiciansInsurance (20%)
Verify patient's insurance coveragePre-certify all patient exams with the patient's insurance companyObtain insurance authorizationsApply knowledge of insurance carriers (example Medicare) and procedures that require waivers to obtain pre-authorization, if needed, prior to patient appointmentsFacilitate Release of Information (ROI) requests for patients, referring offices, other medical facilities, attorneys & insurance companies following Company guidelines(5%) Completes other tasks and projects as assigned
Qualifications Required
High School Diploma, or equivalentOne (1) year of Customer Service experienceProficient in using computer systems and typingWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
Outlook, Word, Teams, ExcelPreferred
