Adelphi is seeking a Psychologist /Licensed Mental Health Professional to provide therapeutic services in a secure facility in Hardin County, Iowa. The ideal candidate should have adolescent/juvenile mental health experience and provide evaluations, counseling, and treatment support in a structured setting.

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted Iowa mental health professional license.
  • Active Iowa license as a Psychologist, LMHC, LISW, LMFT, or similar approved mental health credential.
  • Master's or doctoral degree in a related behavioral health field, as required by license type.
  • Authorized to provide evaluations, counseling, treatment support, and clinical consultation.
  • Experience working with adolescent or juvenile populations preferred.
  • Experience in institutional or correctional behavioral health settings preferred.
  • Ability to complete required background screening and clearance.
  • Ability to provide proof of licensure and required insurance.
  • Ability to maintain comprehensive clinical notes and meet required clinical deadlines.
  • Ability to comply with applicable laws and PREA requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform psychosocial evaluations.
  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling services.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings.
  • Participate in mental health department meetings as needed.
  • Provide clinical consultation and supervision as needed.
  • Support treatment planning and coordination with clinical and administrative staff.
  • Assist with suicide and self-harm risk identification in coordination with the care team.
  • Collaborate with staff to support behavior management and therapeutic interventions.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and professional documentation of all patient contacts.
  • Meet required clinical, caseload, and documentation deadlines.
  • Provide coverage according to the agreed weekly schedule.
  • Comply with PREA requirements and all applicable laws, policies, and professional standards.
