Pharmacy Technicians ensure safe, effective, and timely patient-centered care, and are integral to the pharmacy healthcare team. The role requires performing a wide variety of duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist relating to the preparation, distribution, and storage of pharmaceuticals for patients. Pharmacy Technicians work with computerized and automated systems for dispensing medications and preparing intravenous admixtures, as well as chemotherapy products.
Team members are responsible for developing and promoting collaborative and collegial relationships with nurses, physicians, and interdepartmental personnel as they relate to the pharmaceutical care of the patients. Once trained, be responsible for teaching and training other technicians and assisting in administrative duties.
Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):
2. Responsible for filling, pickup and delivery of patient specific medication. This includes delivery of medications to appropriate areas in a timely manner so that patients receive the correct medications at the correct time as well as packing, processing, and tracking orders.
• Maintain inventory, check expiration dates, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
9. Handle hazardous medications and waste according to safety protocols and PPE guidelines.
14. If applicable, assists with enrollment process for any/all patient support programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must have one of the following a Massachusetts Pharmacy Tech Licenses, Pharmacy Trainee License, or Pharmacy Intern license
PREFFERED:
- CPht
- Knowledge of Epic
- 0-1 years of hospital setting experience
- Previous experience with Quality Assurance

Pay Range:
$25.00 - $33.65
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
