Job Summary

In this role, you will assist with planning, implementation, and delivery of resident‑centered activities. This role is vital in enhancing the emotional, physical, cognitive, and social well‑being of residents through engaging programs that promote quality of life and a sense of community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and implement daily group and individual activities that meet residents’ interests, abilities, and life stories
  • Assist with creating monthly activity calendars and coordinating special events, outings, holiday celebrations, and themed programs
  • Encourage resident participation and provide support to those with physical or cognitive limitations
  • Work collaboratively with all departments
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
  • Assist with transporting residents to and from activities when needed
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and compassion for working with older adults
  • Understand, respect, and maintain resident confidentiality
  • Must pass required criminal background check in order to serve vulnerable adults
  • Active driver’s license, clean driving record and personal auto insurance required for driving positions
  • Must be screened for TB and other state‑required health care conditions
  • Be able to read, write, and comprehend English
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Indoors, climate‑controlled assisted living facility with a focus on personalized care
  • Requires physical activity including standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and assisting residents
  • Possible exposure to unpleasant odors
  • Possible exposure to chemicals as indicated in the MSDS manual
