Description
The Team Leader reports to the Residential Manager, Director of Member Services, and Executive Director. This full‑time supervisory role involves daily management of residential operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, supervising staff, working assigned shifts, and overseeing the care of residents and agency properties.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all licensing and governing requirements are met.
- Conduct interviews, complete hiring paperwork, and manage staff onboarding.
- Supervise, evaluate, train, and discipline staff, maintaining performance standards.
- Schedule staff shifts to meet resident needs while staying within budgeted hours.
- Address complaints and grievances from staff and residents.
- Oversee safety and security for staff, residents, and agency properties.
- Act as liaison with the Residential Manager and Director of Member Services regarding daily operations.
- Ensure residents receive consistent training and assistance based on their Person‑Centered Plans.
- Conduct resident orientation and assist with skill assessments.
- Communicate relevant information to the Residential Manager and Program Coordinator to guarantee quality care.
- Audit documentation and data collection for Medicaid compliance.
- Attend residents’ annual staffing meetings and share pertinent information.
- Manage expenditures, obtain purchase approvals, and maintain reasonable costs.
- Chair staff meetings and schedule training sessions.
- Stay informed of program and administrative updates by attending required meetings.
- Assist with supervising and monitoring the finances of residents.
- Coordinate healthcare for residents to ensure quality care.
- Serve on agency committees as assigned.
- Verify accuracy of chore sheets, reimbursement forms, and staff time in Paylocity.
- Complete monthly census for client billing.
- Assist with Social Security and DHS paperwork to maintain resident eligibility.
- Support residents with activities of daily living, such as meal preparation, laundry, housekeeping, toileting, and bathing.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Residential Manager, Director of Member Services, or Executive Director.
- Provide quality care and a supportive, therapeutic environment for residents.
- Ensure compliance with all governing agencies’ rules and Nishna Productions Inc. policies.
- Maintain a positive role model presence for staff and residents.
- Travel as needed to all residential service locations.
- Complete electronic documentation and maintain PHI confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education/training for RCF Group Home Administrator preferred.
- Preferable: two years of residential service experience and two years of supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership skills, sound judgment, and effective written and verbal communication.
- Valid Iowa Chauffeur’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Physical ability to assist residents with transfers, lift up to 70 pounds, and perform routine household tasks.
- Willingness to work with individuals who have behavior disorders and may exhibit aggressive behaviors.
- Must not have or be a carrier of a serious infectious or communicable disease such as tuberculosis.
- Must successfully complete mandatory mandatory pre‑employment physical, TB test, and drug testing.
- Ability to travel up to 70 miles round‑trip and work a full schedule as needed.
- Acceptable driving record and ability to obtain an Iowa Chauffeur’s license.
