Mitchell County Regional Health Center is a 25‑bed critical access hospital located in Osage, Iowa, serving a population of 10,600 people. MCRHC operates a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room that sees 3,200 visits annually and a Surgical Services department that performs over 1,300 procedures each year in specialties such as General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, and Podiatry.

The Imaging Services Assistant will greet and welcome patients and staff to the Imaging Department. Responsibilities include checking patients in, answering phone inquiries, scheduling imaging exams, preparing CDs/DVDs, pushing images electronically to other facilities, assisting physicians, loading images into PACs, maintaining an orderly reception area, and remaining HIPAA compliant at all times.

Position: PRN, work as needed.

Pay: $20 per hour.

Shift: Sunday through Saturday, including weekends and holidays.

• Education: Must be enrolled as a 2nd year student in an accredited Radiologic Technology program with current participation in radiology classes and clinical rotations.
• Experience: No experience required.
• Special Skills, Competencies, and Aptitudes:
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Understanding of basic radiology procedures and documented competency validation on all applicable modalities from the educational program, with advanced knowledge of radiation safety standards.
  • Flexible for PRN staffing across all shifts, weekends, holidays, and call duties.
  • Proof of Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (BLS Healthcare Provider) prior to employment and maintenance of current certification.
  • Completion of Mandatory Reporting requirement within 90 days of hire and renewal every five years.
