FT Dietary Aide

Description

Cherokee Regional Medical Center is looking for a dependable team player with excellent customer service skills.

• Full time, 40 hours/week, 8 hour shifts
• Every other weekend

• Provides set up and delivery of patient trays according to diet as ordered by the physician and patient menu preferences.
• A dietary aide needs to know a variety of special diets.
• The dietary aide will need to note all restrictions on patient menus.
• Have knowledge of a variety of therapeutic diets and modify menus accordingly.
• Portrays friendly service and good communication skills with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Follow a work schedule to ensure all work is completed in the allotted time frame. Take direction from dietary manager and dietitian to improve efficiency and workflow.
• Follows proper sanitation procedures including food handling and hand washing. Demonstrate good safety practices.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable
• Servsafe food handler certified or is obtained upon hire
