Patient Services Representative - PRN

Avera Health -  - Responsibilities:
Welcomes patients, checks them in and completes registration including demographic, insurance verification, and collection of service payments;
Verifies insurance, obtains authorizations, and secures consent and waiver forms as appropriate;
Scans pertinent information into the patient’s record;
Answers and directs calls, messages, and faxes to appropriate individuals or departments;
Maintains computer appointment scheduling and follows office scheduling policies;
Expedites delivery of care by coordinating nurse, physician, and patient time;
Acts as public relations agent for the physicians by serving patients in a friendly, efficient manner;
Directs patients to ancillary services as needed
