Lake Regional Healthcare is currently seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver the best possible patient care in LRH’s patient-focused setting.
SUMMARY- Respiratory Therapist works in a fast-paced Inpatient and Outpatient Respiratory Therapy and Pulmonary Rehab Departments.
- Position works with a variety of age groups from newborn to geriatric populations.
- Shows genuine commitment to compassionate care of patients at Lakes Regional Healthcare and demonstrates effective working relationships with hospital staff, physicians, the public and outside agencies.
- Performs daily floor therapies, responds to all codes, providing airway management as needed and performs diagnostic testing as ordered by the physician in a timely manner.
- Assists in the performance of daily clerical, clinical and diagnostic duties associated with Respiratory Care including scheduling and performing Respiratory Care procedures as ordered by the Medical Staff.
- Consults with and keeps Respiratory Care Supervisor informed of the department’s activities with regard to patient care.
- High school graduate.
- Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program and either registered or registry eligible by the National Board of Respiratory Care with experience preferred.
- Maintains Iowa State License for Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS & NRP and current certification in Mandatory Reporter of Dependent Adult and Child Abuse Reporting or willingness to obtain according to Education Policy.
