We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility setting. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to residents with a variety of functional needs.
This position is ideal for a COTA who enjoys working with the geriatric population and thrives in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
ResponsibilitiesImplement occupational therapy treatment plans as established by the Occupational Therapist
Assist residents with therapeutic activities to improve ADLs, mobility, strength, coordination, and safety
Document patient progress, treatment sessions, and outcomes in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
Communicate effectively with the therapy team, nursing staff, and other interdisciplinary team members
Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment
Follow all facility policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines
QualificationsCurrent Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Experience in long-term care or SNF setting preferred
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
