Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Assistant Athletic Trainer to support the health and performance needs of student-athletes. The ideal candidate will assist in providing injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and emergency care across assigned sports programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prevent, evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate athletic injuries and illnesses
• Provide emergency care and medical referrals when necessary
• Offer education, counseling, and guidance to student-athletes
• Cover practices, games, and travel assignments as delegated
• Maintain accurate injury documentation, medical forms, and reports
• Supervise and mentor sports medicine assistants and student workers
• Assist in daily facility operations, inventory, and supply ordering

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or related field
• BOC Certified Athletic Trainer
• Iowa Athletic Training License (or eligibility)
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel with athletic teams
• New Grads are Accepted
