Position Overview:

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region, where your expertise in medical billing will directly support home health and hospice patient care. This role focuses on generating revenue by accurately submitting claims to Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurers, and other payers. You will ensure timely reimbursements by monitoring accounts, resolving billing discrepancies, submitting necessary filings, appealing denials, and following up on unpaid claims.

Compliance

& Communication:

Maintain strict adherence to CMS Conditions of Participation, Medicare billing regulations, and payer contracts specific to home health and hospice services. You will also communicate professionally with payers, clinical teams, patients, and families to facilitate smooth billing processes.

Support & Reporting:

Provide essential billing, reporting, and administrative assistance to the business office and leadership as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the healthcare operation.

Education & Experience
  • Minimum of one year of medical billing experience is required, with a strong preference for combined home health and hospice billing knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Medicare regulations and billing practices for home health and hospice care is essential.
  • Experience with OASIS, hospice elections, certifications/recertifications, and CMS billing timelines is highly desirable.
Skills & Requirements
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR), billing software, Excel, and email communication.
  • Strong analytical abilities, excellent organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
