Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation Hospital is currently seeking a neuropsychologist/psychologist. This role involves conducting assessments and providing psychological treatment for individuals with injuries. The position also includes supporting families, addressing adjustment and coping challenges, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
Job Description Essential Functions- Interacts with co‑workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
- Provides neuropsychological and psychological services for complex medical conditions.
- Offers education and supportive counseling to patients and families, aiding them in coping with life‑altering situations and assisting with decision‑making processes.
- Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, recreational therapy, social work, and other allied health professionals.
- Assists the team in understanding the neuropsychological status of individuals and collaboratively develop treatment plans and behavior interventions.
- Conducts cognitive and behavioral assessments using a variety of methods, including evidence‑based assessment tools, clinical interviews and direct observation and documents in the electronic medical record.
- Develops and implements behavioral interventions, supporting treatment teams in the application of these strategies.
- Engages in opportunities for supervision and teaching activities, including didactics and supervision of graduate psychology trainees.
- Communicates effectively and interacts with all levels of staff, primary care providers, patients and community agencies.
- Complies with hospital and network policies regarding confidentiality and all policies related to emergency procedures, as defined in the Environment of Care plans. Knows personal role in event of a disaster or emergency.
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited university.
- Specialization in Neuropsychology strongly preferred.
